Security Training

CSAS (Community Safety Accreditation Scheme) creates a framework for public and private bodies to work in partnership with the police, providing an additional uniformed presence in communities to assist in reducing criminality and anti-social behaviour.

This course is ideal for companies and public bodies working in such roles  as Town Wardens or in areas such as Festivals, Traffic Management and Security.

​

After successful company approval employees of that company must apply for accreditation with their local police force. To achieve accreditation an individual must be vetted and approved by the Chief Police Officer of the area they work in, and successfully complete the required training.

• The extended police family and Community Safety Accreditation Schemes and current legislation that is relevant to Community Safety Accreditation Schemes, Accredited Persons and the powers that may be exercised

• Diversity and social inclusion within communities

• Interpersonal social skills in the community

• Risk assessment and personal safety

• Conflict management and assertiveness

• Recording evidence and details of incidents

• Community safety problem solving and crime reduction in communities

• Accredited Persons action at crime scenes or incidents

Vanguard Security Training can deliver training at your venue over the five days required for the course. The course will be delivered via a mix of power-point presentations, role plays, portfolios and workbooks. 

​

The students will get hands on experience of writing statements, use of radios, Crime Scene Preservation, Pocket Note Book Writing, Dealing with Emergencies and if needed for the role, road traffic law and the stopping of vehicles and reporting.

Vanguard Security Training can work with any company that is endorsed through the PCPA (Police Crime Prevention Academy) for CSAS where we can act as trainers on behalf of your company.
